LEED 200: Green Associate Exam Preparation
Continuing Education Credits
For professionals who support green building design, construction, and operations, the LEED Green Associate credential denotes basic knowledge of green building principles and practices and LEED.”– U.S. Green Building Council 2010
In 2009, the USGBC overhauled their LEED accreditation system, and now offers a ‘Green Associate’ credential that represents a foundation of knowledge of green building design, construction, and operation. Obtaining this credential says to your customers, clients, employers, and competitors that you are vested in, and committed to sustainability. The Green Associate credential is also now a precursor to the familiar LEED AP designation.
However, the USGBC did not make the new Green Associate exam any easier! The exam covers a breadth of knowledge derived from many sources, and the questions are anything but straight-forward. Navigating through the resources, concepts, and exam-taking strategies is a challenging task – especially on a bust day-to-day professional’s schedule.
The Quality Growth Institute has designed and developed the LEED 200: Green Associate Exam Prep course to help you make the most of an abbreviated study schedule. While there are many exam prep options available today, there are several reasons why our course provides a unique value:
- Instructor-led, eight (8) hour course in an informal setting, where you are encouraged to ask questions of the instructors
- Instructors are architects and engineers with LEED project experience, that relate concepts to real world examples
- Challenging sample questions are presented, and then dissected in the class to help demonstrate good exam-taking strategy
- Opportunity to network with other attendees, and share information to help navigate the LEED Professional Credential path
- Follow up after the course to assist in exam preparation
- Continuing Education Credits for Real Estate and Engineers
- Serves as the “education program that addresses green building principles”, as required by USGBC to register for the exam.
