NPDES - Soil and Erosion

The Georgia Water Quality Control Act and the Federal Clean Water Act mandate very specific compliance with regard to storm water discharge.  NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) mandates that professionals, both public and private, be educated and certified before designing, constructing or otherwise interacting with the permitting of a stormwater plan.  Quality Growth Institute has created a strategic partnership with Georgia’s Environmental Protection Division to provide this education these professionals from both the public and private sector.  The courses have been approved by the Georgia Soils and Water Commission for both Level 1A and 1B recertification.  You can register for available courses at www.councilforqualitygrowth.org or contact Karen Hill  at 770-813-3388.
